Atom.com said on Oct. 15, 2026 that domain buyers and sellers can now use USDC or USDT, with checkout and payouts on Base. The feature went live on that date.

Partnership Details

Atom.com worked with Coinbase Business and Coinbase on the feature. Coinbase Business said on Oct. 15, 2026 it partnered with Atom to bring stablecoins to domain purchases and seller payouts. Base said on Oct. 15, 2026 that Atom now supports stablecoin checkout and seller payouts on Base.

How Checkout Works

Per Coinbase Business docs, its Checkout APIs create single-use checkout links that pay into a Coinbase Business account. Atom.com said stablecoin payments went live on Oct. 15, 2026, letting buyers and sellers use USDC or USDT on Atom. The stablecoin payments are global.

Buyer and Seller Preferences

Per Atom, many of its buyers prefer to pay in crypto. Per Atom, many sellers prefer to get paid in crypto, and seller payouts now support stablecoins. Atom said stablecoins are moving from an asset class to a practical way of doing business globally.

Next Steps

Per Coinbase Business, more features are planned. The integration relies on existing tools from Coinbase Business to handle the stablecoin flows for domain transactions on Base.

Operational Context

The announcement focused on the live status of the payments. Atom.com, Coinbase Business, and Base each posted about the update on Oct. 15, 2026. The rollout uses established APIs without new infrastructure layers disclosed.

The service aligns with Atom view that stablecoins serve everyday business needs. Buyers gain an option to complete domain deals in USDC or USDT. Sellers receive corresponding payout support in the same assets.

No additional timelines beyond the Oct. 15, 2026 go-live were stated. The partnership centers on Coinbase Business Checkout APIs for link creation and settlement. Atom.com confirmed the feature applies to its domain marketplace on Base.

This marks a direct expansion of payment rails already familiar to crypto users. The companies involved framed the change as an extension of current tools rather than a new platform. Operations remain tied to the single-use link model described in Coinbase Business documentation.

Further updates from the partners may address additional stablecoin types or workflow adjustments. The core change centers on USDC and USDT support for both sides of domain transactions.
